Club News

During this last year we have to remember Pam Ponting, Sylvia Cann, Jim Trinder and Don Hessey.

Sylvia was an amazing Secretary and very proactive for the Club. She will be greatly missed. The same goes for Don. An efficient and effective Treasurer for many years and an active officer of the club.

Unfortunately, OUP have said the Clubhouse will be out of bounds, except for the changing room toilets, until all indoor restrictions for Covid have been lifted. This means that on the present roadmap there will be no meals after matches until at least the 21 June.

Latest changes to the roadmap say that we will be back to normal from a bowling point of view as from the 17 May. However, social distancing and groups rules must still be adhered to.

We are having an open day on Sunday 30 May from 10am to 4pm. Members are asked if they can help.

Anyone who wishes to come and try bowls at our lovely bowling green is welcome. All you need to do is wear flat soled heelless shoes.

All equipment needed will be provided.
